Tennessee Society for Association Executives
For the first time ever, the Tennessee Society for Association Executives (TSAE) will move its annual tradeshow out of Nashville for 2005.

Chattanooga, along with several other cities in Tennessee, presented proposals to the TSAE. Chattanooga was chosen for many reasons, but primarily for renewal along the waterfront. This is the perfect opportunity to show state associations that Chattanooga offers an abundance of amenities and world-class services.

"The Chattanooga hospitality community should be proud to know that our city was chosen over all other Tennessee cities to host the first event ever to be held outside of Nashville. This is a terrific opportunity to showcase all that's new" said Steve Genovesi, VP of Sales at the CACVB.

The TSAE's mission is to provide professional and personal growth opportunities for association executives. It assists hundreds of association executives and industry professionals in developing their skills and expanding their knowledge base by providing professional and personal development opportunities. From education sessions presented by lenders in the field and information-filled articles found in Association Connection to special interest groups, a listserv discussion group and advocacy efforts on the state and national level, TSAE exists to assist you in making the most of your profession.

Rock City Gardens unveiled expansion plans featuring structural changes to the property that will allow visitors quicker access to the park, three trail options to customize their experience, increased regional food offerings and a new pavilion for larger group gatherings.

Rock City’s expansion will begin at a newly created entry plaza. The landscaped entry will feature two fanciful period gatehouse structures where additional ticket sales windows will allow visitors faster entry and improved customer service for annual pass holders and groups.

The focal point of the Gardens’ gateway will be a water feature visible from inside and outside the park that combines water and fire into a fascinating display. Here visitors can enjoy Rock City’s famous homemade fudge, a variety of foods at the Big Rock Grill and western merchandise at the Western Shop.

The new three-trail concept allows visitors the option of customizing their experience. Heritage Trail will provide a two-way direct link between Gardens Gateway and Lover’s Leap, while interpreting the history of Rock City and winding through older trails not currently available to guests. This direct route to the legendary view of Seven States will give access to those unable to walk the entire Enchanted Trail.

A new and casual “Seven States” menu will be offered at Lover’s Leap. Expanded seating and tables will allow visitors to take in the legendary Seven States view and taste seven styles with a menu featuring specialties from neighboring states, such as Tennessee barbecue and Georgia peach cobbler.

The new special events pavilion features a stone fireplace and seating for groups up to 300. This may be utilized for company outings, family reunions, school and scout groups, and special entertainment functions.
