Presbyterian Church Hosted Annual General Assembly
The Presbyterian Church in America hosted their annual general assembly in Chattanooga June 14-17. There were over 1,600 attendees who left an estimated economic impact of $720,000 at our hotels, restaurants and attractions.
The attendees gathered for a week of denominational meetings, seminars, workshops, exhibits and family activities. The 1,400 wives and children of attendees had some free time and were able to explore the sites and sounds of Chattanooga. They participated in a walking tour of downtown Chattanooga, craft activities, visited the Chickamauga Battlefield, Tennessee Aquarium, IMAX 3D Theater and several museums.
"Chattanooga was a very hospitable city, making this conference flow smoothly from pre-planning to final tear down," said Sherry Eschenberg, meeting planner for the Presbyterian Church in America. "It was very easy to navigate in the downtown area, full of nice restaurants and I felt very safe!"
